Iranians called their last war (Iran vs Saddam+world) "Holy Defense". Every film that made about this war called "Holy Defence Gener" in Iran.
One of famous figures in Iranian cinema is "Ebrahim Hatamikia" he made many films (all his films) about this issue. last work of him is "In the Name of the Father" ( Released 2005 , Persian speaking ). His films are melodramatic.
"In the Name of the Father" story is about Iranian ex-Soldier and his daughter. The Film start in a beautiful landscape in Khoozestan. At the beginning of the film his daughter walked on a mine and lost her leg.
During the story father will find out the mine that injured his daughter is one of landmines that himself laid in a war zone against Iraqi soldiers. dialogs between father and daughter is full of dramatic feelings. "A father who choose a war taking the right to choose from his children" daughter said in first conversation.
